The standard chair designed by jean prouve for the cite universitaire de nancy in 1934. This chair is one of the classics in the history of furniture its quality is revealed in structural logic and unassuming aesthetics. The standard chair is robust and functionally versatile and works equally well in domestic settings or as public seating in cafés and restaurants. The structurally solid and sound back leg ensures greater stability over traditional four-legged seats, allowing for the greater weight distribution on the back legs of a chair when a persons sits back.
